For a program that regularly turns out NHL-quality talent, it is a happy sight to see so many former Eagles playing at the highest level of competition in the sport.
Some of the names have changed cities, but amongst them are many familiar faces.
In total, Boston College hockey has representatives on twelve different 2014-15 NHL rosters, including one captain, and all four divisions are covered. The list of teams containing these Eagles also includes six clubs that made the playoffs last year.

- Cam Atkinson, Columbus Blue Jackets
- Patrick Brown, Carolina Hurricanes
- Scott Clemmensen, New Jersey Devils
- Nate Gerbe, Carolina Hurricanes
- Brian Gibbons, Columbus Blue Jackets
- Stephen Gionta, New Jersey Devils
- Kevin Hayes, New York Rangers
- Chris Kreider, New York Rangers
- Brooks Orpik, Washington Capitals

BC on 2014-15 NHL Rosters: Atlantic Division
- Brian Boyle, Tampa Bay Lightning
- Brian Gionta, Buffalo Sabres (C)
- Jimmy Hayes, Florida Panthers
BC on 2014-15 NHL Rosters: Central Division

BC on 2014-15 NHL Rosters: Pacific Division

Clearly, the Metropolitan Division is top-heavy with Boston College Eagles, but when divisional games happen, there is a good chance of seeing some noted former Eagles facing one another.
Congratulations to all of our hockey alumni who made NHL rosters, and good luck to those (like Bill Arnold, Patrick Wey, Brian Dumoulin, et al.) who stand a chance of making it back to the big time at some point this season.
