Week 2 College Football Picks: Pick One
Fresno State vs. Utah (-10.5)
3pm ET, Pac-12 Network
Fresno State looked bad against USC last weekend, but plenty of teams do. The Bulldogs probably don’t have it in them to go to Utah and win but crazier things have happened. Utah -10.5
Week 2 College Football Picks: Pick Two
Arkansas State vs. Tennessee (-17)
12pm ET, SEC Network
My gut says that Arkansas State is a better program than people would ordinarily think and could make a game out of this, but I would have said the same of Utah State, and Tennessee dumptrucked them last week. For once, I have to go with my head. Tennessee -17
Week 2 College Football Picks: Pick Three
Mississippi (-20) vs. Vanderbilt
4:30pm ET, ESPN
Vanderbilt got their asses kicked by Temple last week at home, which tells you about everything you need to know. This could be a cakewalk for Ole Miss. Mississippi -20
Week 2 College Football Picks: Pick Four
Michigan vs. Notre Dame (-3.5)
7:30pm ET, NBC
Every journalist, however legitimate, should strive for a certain level of objectivity. With that said, I’m not picking Notre Dame, though I swear objectivity has a role in that. Michigan was a better team last year when they beat the Irish than they are now, but the Wolverines can do it. Michigan +3.5
Week 2 College Football Picks: Pick Five
USC vs. Stanford (-2.5)
3:30pm ET, ABC
USC has recently not had a great history against Stanford, but they did break through last season. The Trojans are again looking like a fierce team, and the gut says they get it. USC +2.5
Week 2 College Football Picks: Pick Six
Michigan State vs. Oregon (-12)
6:30pm ET, Fox
The game of the week right here as two top-ten teams face one another. Oregon does have the tendency to score a very high number of points, which would be of concern to anyone they play, but Michigan State is no slouch. They might not win, but they can make a game of it and hang with the Ducks for a good while. Michigan State +12
