July 2014 Boston College Football Recruiting: Wyatt Ray, DE
Fort Lauderdale, FL; committed July 3
A day before celebrating the red, white, and blue, Wyatt Ray tried on the maroon and gold.
Ray is a weak-side defensive end from Fort Lauderdale; with his commitment, Boston College now has six newcomers from the fertile recruiting state of Florida in the 2015 class.
Wyatt Ray currently plays for St. Thomas Aquinas, which is one of the most prominent high school athletics programs in the nation; current Eagle Len Skubal also attended this institution.
At the time of his commitment, Ray held offers from Minnesota, Cincinnati, Syracuse, and Wake Forest, amongst others. Like Jeff Smith, Ray was also rated at three stars by the major services.
Ray reportedly had 30 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and a pick as a junior in 2013.
His highlights from the 2013 season look something like this:
Boston College welcomes both of these young men to the Heights for next season.
The questions now to consider are what kind of recruiting month will August be, and how many more players will the coaches need to fill out this class?
