STG: We have to give Dabo Swinney credit: the Tigers were good before, but now they’re especially relevant, contending for ACC titles and winning the Orange Bowl in January. What do you think has made him so successful at Clemson?
RTR: Recruiting certainly has a lot to do with it. I don’t follow recruiting religiously, so I can’t rattle off the rankings of each of his classes off the top of my head or anything, but it’s apparent that Swinney can identify talent.
And don’t get me wrong, I think Dabo is a great game-day coach as well, but when you have guys like Tajh Boyd, Sammy Watkins, and Vic Beasley on your team, you expect to go to the Orange Bowl.
