STG: What has been the consensus opinion of Clemson football fans during the summer? Is there optimism for the upcoming year, pessimism, or anything in between?
RTR: Well, like most fanbases, Clemson’s is all over the map with their expectations. I think most reasonable fans realize that this probably isn’t going to be Clemson’s year though, at least in terms of winning the ACC.
Florida State should be a national title contender again and Clemson has so much talent to replace. There is plenty of optimism regarding other goals though. Ten or so wins and another top-tier bowl game are probably the expectation, given that there are really only about three games that really worry most Clemson fans–Georgia, Florida State, and, of course, South Carolina.
