Boston College Football Recruiting: June 2014 Heat Map
The below is a look at the full 2015 recruiting class so far, which expanded to 22 players during the month of June.
Again, the Northeast corridor is lit up nicely, but this is not unexpected. One of Steve Addazio’s stated objectives from when he took over the program was that local talent would not leave the area. Another year, and the map of Massachusetts is filling in with some good high school players.
Pay close note to Rivals: of their top five Massachusetts players for 2015, Boston College has gotten commitments from four of them. That’s defending your turf.
Compare this to Frank Spaziani’s last full recruiting class in 2012, in which Boston College got only one of the Massachusetts top ten.
In the Spaziani-Addazio transition class of 2013, Boston College got two of the top ten in Massachusetts, and neither one is still with the program.
Meanwhile, in Addazio’s first full class in 2014, Boston College jumped up to get six of the Massachusetts top ten. They have continued this momentum in 2015 and are making good on their promises to keep the local talent local.
