Howard Smith-US PRESSWIRE

It’s now May — to the rejoicing of many living in the Northeast — and the 2014 NFL Draft draws very near. One week from today, the proceedings will have already begun at Radio City Music Hall.

On Thursday, there is next to no chance at all that any Boston College Eagles will be picked, as that is the first round. Even our most likely draft selections are not projecting anywhere near it, despite some like Andre Williams having had an historically good 2013 season.

A week from now will be Rounds 2 and 3, which harbors a slight chance of an Eagle selection, but still unlikely.

It is next Saturday that figures to be “the day” for Boston College’s interests at Radio City. Who might go, and where?

The numbers in [brackets] represent how much the player has risen or fallen since the last update a week ago.

Boston College in the 2014 NFL Draft: Player Ranges

Andre Williams: Round 4 to Round 5 [Mean: Round 4, Pick 139]
Kevin Pierre-Louis: Round 4 to undrafted
Matt Patchan: Round 6 to undrafted

Undrafted on All

• Alex Amidon, WR (reportedly out of football)
• Steele Divitto, LB
• Kasim Edebali, DE
• Nate Freese, K
• Al Louis-Jean, CB
• Kaleb Ramsey, DT
• Chase Rettig, QB

Matt Patchan was looking like an outside shot before we began this process of trying to predict the draft, but he seems to be more of one now. Meanwhile, Kevin Pierre-Louis is showing up on at least some draft boards and could be the wild card on Saturday draft viewing. However, the man to watch is and always has been Andre Williams. Andre has slipped a bit but still appears to be on-track for a selection early in the third day.
