Boston College football recruiting continues to gain steam, with Jake Burt, the seventh high school athlete to join the 2015 class, now on-board.
He is already the fourth Massachusetts recruit to commit, but becomes the first tight end for 2015. The vast majority of the other six currently pledged to Boston College are offensive linemen.
As for Burt, he is a tight end from Danvers who plays at St. John’s Prep in his hometown. Burt’s head coach there is Brian St. Pierre, former Eagles quarterback and broadcaster. As of now, Burt measures at a sizable 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds.
Jake Burt held a total of six offers at the time of his commitment to Boston College today, with the only other prominent one being ACC rival Virginia. He visited Charlottesville less than two weeks ago, receiving an offer on his trip, but ultimate chose to join Steve Addazio’s program. Ryan Day was reportedly responsible for Jake Burt’s recruitment.
He was unrated by the major recruiting services. Interested parties can view Burt’s highlights from the 2013 St. John’s Prep season on his Hudl page.
We welcome Jake Burt to the Heights.
