Today, according to multiple sources, Boston College has hired Ohio University coach Jim Christian as its next Men’s Basketball Head Coach.
This decision has been pondered by the Boston College Athletic Department for two weeks since Steve Donahue’s contract was terminated on March 18th.
Christian, as the Ohio University coach for the past two seasons went 49-22. Prior to that he was the coach of the TCU Horned Frogs going 56-73 in four seasons there.
Kent State was where Christian had his most success from 2002-2008 with a 138-58 line and two NCAA tournament appearances.
The hire has been widely criticized by the fan base as the Boston College Men’s Basketball program slithers into anonymity in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
More opinions will follow on the hire from the Soaring to Glory.
