On their own home floor, Boston College gave up 106 points to a North Carolina Tar Heels team that was not screwing around.
An excited fanbase turned out to see Steve Donahue’s first proverbial tango with Roy Williams, and boy did it go horribly. The crowd thinned out pretty quickly as the Eagles allowed 57 points in the second half.
In a way, it’s almost surprising that Boston College didn’t lose a more embarrassing game to North Carolina than this under their new roster in the years to follow.
