Boston College Retains Steve Donahue as Head Coach

Sources reported late on Thursday night that Boston College would retain head coach Steve Donahue for a fifth season.
Donahue and the Eagles wrapped up on Wednesday night the most losing season in Boston College basketball history, falling a total of 24 times. The coach will enter his fifth year with an overall record of 54-76 at Boston College.
There will be more on this to come, including a formal statement by Boston College athletic director Brad Bates, but this is bad news for Eagles fans and the immediate future of the program. There has been no improvement from this team between their first game together and their most recent this week, and yet we are supposed to believe that Steve Donahue can fix this mess he has been creating for years with the same cast of characters.
Color me skeptical.
