Boston College in 2014 NFL Mock Drafts: March 8

With spring football in the air (yes, it has been insanely cold, but trust me, it’s in the air), that can only mean that the NFL Draft is also approaching. In fact, it begins two months from today.
Boston College went 0-for-the-Draft last year, marking the first time in seven years that no Eagles were announced at Radio City. Now, in 2014, it would appear that the Eagles’ fortunes have collectively improved and at this point, several players figure to be picked. That total may have been higher, but Boston College’s all-time leading receiver, Alex Amidon, is foregoing the remainder of his football career for a noble cause.
As for the players who are sticking around, where do the mock drafts see them going? Keep in mind that certain team needs can change with free agency.
Andre Williams, RB
DraftTek: Round 2, #58 overall [New Orleans Saints]
DraftSite: Round 3, #74 overall [New York Giants]
WalterFootball: Round 5, #145 overall [Pittsburgh Steelers]
Matt Patchan, OT
DraftTek: Round 6, #188 overall [Carolina Panthers]
Player Ranges
Andre Williams: Rounds 2-5
Matt Patchan: Round 6 to undrafted
All others: Undrafted
With how Boston College got good reviews for their collective Combine performance, one might have expected to see a few more names pop up on the mocks. So far, the only sure bet we seem to have is Andre Williams, who could go on the second day of the proceedings. Matt Patchan played his way into contention and looks like he has a legitimate shot.
As for the others, there is still time to win over the war rooms, though one would expect most or all of the undrafted ones to be signed as undrafted free agents and get invited to camps.
