The underdogs are not necessarily here, per se, but by now they are in Syracuse, New York, for their game against the #1 Orange. To quote a former Boston College football coach (emphasis on former, thankfully), this could get ugly.

BC Basketball: Boston College basketball brings good offense, suspect defense to Syracuse rematch

A fair look at the Boston College-Syracuse game tonight from the local Syracuse media. The Eagles actually shoot it okay, sometimes, but that whole “stopping the other team” thing has been a problem since Day 1 of this magnificent Donahue class that’s probably going to lose its 59th game in less than three seasons.

BC Basketball: Boston College Eagles Team Page

The degenerate gamblers know what we’re talking about. 14.5-point underdogs in what could be a very displeasing game from a Boston College perspective.

BC Hockey: Tanner MacMaster commits to Quinnipiac ice hockey

A rare decommit for Jerry York as Albertan Tanner MacMaster heads to Quinnipiac instead. There’s no need to pile on the kid and we do wish him well, but in terms of figuring out what it means, don’t wear yourself out. We’re in a position to say with this program that it’s his loss for no longer wishing to be a part of it. In the long run, York gets very good recruits, anyway, so this probably won’t make much of a difference.

BC Hockey/Baseball: Boyles, Shaw Named Eagles of the Week

Women’s hockey goalie Corinne Boyles and baseball right fielder Chris Shaw are your Eagles of the Week. Boyles won both the Beanpot and the Hockey East title in the same week — not a bad haul — while Shaw smacked the Eagles’ first homer of the season.

BC Hockey: US to play Czech Republic in quarterfinals

Boston College’s own Brooks Orpik is taking to the ice this afternoon (Boston time) to help Team USA advance deeper into the medal rounds. Do it for America, Brooks.
