NSD 2014: Ty Schwab Signs Letter of Intent for Boston College Football
By Kyle Egan
Linebacker Ty Schwab officially signed a national letter of intent to play for Boston College Eagles football in 2014 on Wednesday, National Signing Day.
He was the 18th recruit to verbally commit to the class, having committed to join Head Coach Steve Addazio’s football program on June 24.
Schwab was this class’s first Florida recruit, coming from Merritt Island on the state’s east coast. He is an outside linebacker who committed to Boston College a day after receiving his offer from the coaching staff.
All three major recruiting agencies consider Schwab to be a three-star recruit. Rivals measured his 40 time at 4.6 seconds and his vertical at 32″; ESPN had Schwab’s 40 at 4.84 and a vertical of 25.5″ — there is no indication as to which is the more recent. In order to come to Boston College, he spurned offers from Maryland, UMass, UTEP, Tulane, and Western Michigan.

The Boston College community welcomes Ty to the Heights.
