NSD 2014: Jon Baker Signs Letter of Intent for Boston College Football
By Kyle Egan
Offensive guard Jon Baker officially signed a national letter of intent to play for Boston College Eagles football in 2014 prior to National Signing Day, already having enrolled early at Boston College for the spring semester.
He was the sixth recruit to verbally commit to the class, having committed to join Head Coach Steve Addazio’s program on April 20th, and cemented his commitment with enrolling early at the university.
Baker is a local product from Millis High School in Millis, Massachusetts where he played offensive guard. Baker was a two-time winner of All-State Lineman from ESPNBoston.com. In a game against Bellingham in late October, he tore his ACL and missed the remainder of the 2013 season.
ESPN, 247, and Rivals rate Baker as a three-star recruit. Baker comes in at 6’3″ and 305 lb., and runs a 5.20 40. Some consider Baker to be the best offensive line prospect in New England, having rejected offers from schools such as Michigan State, Temple, and Rutgers.
The Boston College community welcomes Jon Baker to the Heights.
