Linebacker Connor Strachan officially signed a national letter of intent to play for Boston College Eagles football in 2014 on Wednesday, National Signing Day.

He was the ninth recruit to verbally commit to the class, having committed to join Head Coach Steve Addazio’s program on May 17th.

Strachan is another one of the seven Massachusetts recruits committed to Boston College. The inside linebacker went to St. Sebastian’s in Needham where he also played at the running back position, which obviously contributed to his exemplary quickness.

Strachan is rated as a 4-star recruit by ESPN and Rivals and an out-of-left-field three-stars by 247. He is ranked at 192nd in the Rivals 250 and was invited to the Semper Fidelis All-American Game. His 4.48 40 time was the best measured by ESPN for inside linebackers and his 36.5 vertical doesn’t disappoint either. The 6’1″, 240 lb. linebacker figures to contribute to the recent success of Boston College at the linebacker position.

The Boston College community welcomes Connor Strachan to the Heights.
