NSD 2014: Austin Chapman Signs Letter of Intent for Boston College Football
By Kyle Egan
Tight end/athlete Austin Chapman officially signed a national letter of intent to play for Boston College Eagles football in 2014 on Wednesday, National Signing Day.
Chapman is chronologically the 28th member of the 2014 class to commit, having pledged to join Head Coach Steve Addazio’s football program a few days ago on February 3.
This new Eagle played his high school football for the Westminster Schools in Atlanta, Georgia, and is one of three 2014 signees from that institution. It is likely that he will come to Chestnut Hill as a recruited walk-on, though there is no further information available. He measures up at 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds.
Chapman made the announcement on Twitter himself, though the commitment was not acknowledged by the program or recruiting agencies until today. None of the latter rated Chapman.
He is not to be confused with the 2015 recruit from North Carolina of the same name.
