A great weight was lifted from the shoulders of the Boston College Eagles on Saturday, and indeed the shoulders of Superfans everywhere as the Eagles became bowl-eligible. Their spot in the postseason nearly secure, their focus turns to one thing: getting greedy. The Maryland Terrapins, facing the Eagles for the final time as ACC members, will be the team’s target for a seventh win and Boston College’s first winning season since 2010.

Boston College at Maryland: Initial Evaluation
The Eagles do not typically play well on the road; that’s no mystery to anyone. What also is clear is that they are not at all afraid of Maryland, whom they beat in the midst of their worst season in 35 years. These teams look about even on paper, hence the current point spread, but expect an undaunted team in maroon and gold.
It is a winnable game for both teams; neither needs it for bowl eligibility, but the difference is that the Eagles want to give the Terps a nasty going-away present, while Maryland wants to avenge their last few losses to Boston College on their way out the door.
