Army at Boston College: Game Decision by Noon Thursday

For those without the benefit of Twitter, Boston College Athletic Director Brad Bates updated the public on the status of their dealings with the United States Military Academy with regards to Saturday’s game. Bates has confirmed reports from last night on the situation and timeframe.
Here's my latest update on the status of Saturday's football game vs. Army.

We have been considering and engaging all possibilities in order to play the game including offering financial assistance to Army for travel

We have been told by officials at the US Military Academy, however, that this is not solely a financial decision.

The government shutdown will almost certainly not be resolved by this weekend at this rate, let alone tomorrow. If the Army game is to be played, it will have to be for reasons that get around this Washington phenomenon. Don’t make pumpkin picking plans for Saturday just yet.
