Florida State at Boston College: 5 Big Questions With Chop Chat
By Joe Micik
1. Florida State’s offense has toasted every opponent it has played so far. (a) Do you think this offense might even be in a better position in 2013 with Jameis Winston than last year with a senior EJ Manuel? (b) How do you think Boston College will fare against it?
JJ: I do firmly believe that Jameis does put this offense in a better position than EJ, and that’s not a knock on EJ by any means. But as you’ve seen through the first three games, Jameis just has special talents that are utilized in regards to opening up the passing portion of the offense. He’s better at making reads than EJ and is a bit more accurate. And, early on, I fully expect Boston College to put up a fight on defense and make some plays. I think that this will be more of a wear-them-down type situation where they just won’t be able to keep up anymore at some point, and that’s when Florida State could run away with his.
Bonus: Predict the final score, if you so dare.
JJ: Oh, I do dare, and I’ll go with a final of 42-21 FSU
