I know what you’re thinking, maybe: we’re not respecting Army enough here. After all, they pantsed BC last year in one of the program’s most embarrassing losses in the past decade. There were factors at work there, however, that will not be in play this time. Namely:
• Rich Ellerson showed demonstrable disregard for BC’s defensive gameplan and exploited BC’s weaknesses despite the talent mismatch because he knew Frank Spaziani wouldn’t adjust; that will most likely not happen now.
• Army quarterback Trent Steelman is gone and it looks like they’re starting a sophomore.
• Army’s last road win was in 2010.
Aside from that, you’ll have a lot of players from last year’s team who might want to get some payback. The Black Knights will be underdogs in this game as well and they should be.
