Who Wears 41 Now

Jake Sinkovec, FB/TE, senior
During his days at Boston College, Sinkovec has progressed from a linebacker to a fullback. He arrived at BC as a linebacker, but after making few appearances in such a role, he became a fullback as a sophomore and has since played in 19 games in that position. Last year, he got into seven games and had his biggest game in Week 1, recording four catches for 67 yards in the Eagles’ loss to Miami.
On the depth chart last year, he was listed as the starter at said position.
Notables Who Wore 41
• Montel Harris, RB, 2008-11. #41 in his freshman year; switched to his more familiar #2.
• David Pereira, SS, 1981-84. Four-year letterwinner throughout all of the Flutie years.
• Dwight Shirley, FB, 1991-93. Praised by Tom Coughlin.
Sugar, Sugar
On January 1, 1941, Boston College played in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans and beat Tennessee, 19-13. It was after this victory that they claimed a share of the national championship.
The Kick
David Gordon’s memorable field goal in 1993 over Notre Dame was a 41-yard attempt.
I think it’s perfectly safe to leave things at that.
