So after James Hendren and Cameron Seward committed this past week to the 2014 class, a lot of stuff has been happening with Boston College recruiting.
- QB commit Darius Wade will be participating in the Elite 11 quarterback camp with other top Midwestern quarterback prospects today at Ohio State. This particular camp is the sixth gathering of the Elite 11 this year, before the best quarterbacks out of the camps are chosen to participate in the final in Oregon(sponsored by Nike). Check out the BC commit from Deleware, who also has offers from Nebraska and Syracuse, on this live feed. The action starts at 1 PM EST.
- So, even though Darius Wade might be competing in the Elite 11, it looks like Boston College has another highly touted dual threat quarterback interested in coming to the Heights. D.J. Gillins, according to Heights 247, has Boston College in his top 2 alongside Louisville. The Texas Tech de-commit out of Eagle’s View Academy in Florida is rated as 4 stars by 247 and ESPN. In fact, Gillins is rated as the No.2 dual threat quarterback by 247. Gillins also seems to be interested in visiting Chestnut Hill. We’ll keep you updated on any progress.
- Boston College has moved up to #18 in the Rivals recruiting rankings. For purposes of comparison, Addazio has his squad up to #22 in the 247 rankings.
- Soaring to Glory will start doing a “checking in” feature with current 2013 and 2014 recruits. We will feature the football commits along with Jerry York’s talented skaters.
