November-December 2012: Change comes to Boston College football
Much has been made of the disappointments from the last several years in Boston College Eagles football. When the last snap of the 2012 season was taken, we knew that it was only a matter of time before new athletic director Brad Bates brought about the change we needed, and he did not waste any time.
Shortly thereafter, Bates hired Steve Addazio as head coach. At first, the hire may not have wowed Eagles fans who looked for the hottest names on the coaching circuit, but one thing upon which we can all agree is that Addazio’s recruiting has been exceptional so far. Furthermore, the coordinators and coaching staff have brought a new energy to the program.
The change was definitely for the better, and it was one of the best things to happen to Eagles sports this year.
