February 11, 2013: BC men’s hockey wins fourth-straight Beanpot
There were far fewer trophies than usual for the Boston College men’s hockey team this year, but the one they got was awfully nice.
On February 11, the Eagles scored a 6-3 win over the Northeastern Huskies to win their fourth Beanpot title in a row. The senior class will graduate having never lost a single game in that tournament which is a Boston-area favorite.
Kevin Roy of Northeastern was named the tournament MVP, but Parker Milner won the Eberly Award (best goalie save percentage) and, of course, the Eagles took the trophy back to Chestnut Hill, where it has established an extended residence.
