Schools hope to see LB in own uniform-ESPN Insider -March 1st
Zaire Franklin, a 2014 three star linebacker according to 247, is gaining a bunch of interest from BC, Maryland, Michigan State, Wisconsin, and West Virginia along with offers from Temple, Villanova and Pittsburgh. Franklin really has a good feel for Temple(he is from Philadelphia) and their new coaching staff under Matt Rhule. But Franklin will be taking a visit to Boston College in the future, so we have that to look forward to. However, he is supposedly trying on Maryland jerseys and posting pictures on Facebook, so that could be a detriment.
DT Morehart talks Rutgers offer, BC visit-ESPN Insider -February 28th
Connor Morehart, a defensive tackle out of Shillington, PA who has already gotten offers out of UMass and Rutgers, along with interest from BC, Miami, Michigan State, NC State, Temple and Wisconsin. He talked with Coach Addazio about an offer, but BC is still analyzing the prospect. Morehart lists his preferences for a school as “No. 1 is academics and second is position coach, someone who I can get along with and who understands me…Third is the rest of the team, and the last is the environment, if it feels like home.”

Calif. QB Lawson ready to aim, fire-ESPN Insider -February 27th
Interesting story about 6 foot QB JuJuan Lawson out of Petaluma, California who has to basically prove himself to colleges because of his below QB average height. He has already gotten offers from Arizona, Sacramento State, Texas State, and UNLV, but the interesting part is where Boston College comes into the mix. The dual threat QB, who is a 4 star on 247’s composite rankings, actually called BC first and sent in his recruiting tape. BC responded in only a half hour and are going to send out a squad to go see him. Lawson is also trying to get offers from Cal and USC, but the fact that he reached out to the Eagles could be a good sign for our recruiting.
Hopefully, the Boston College Eagles will be picking up a couple of new recruits soon for the Class of 2014 and we can’t wait to welcome them to the Heights!!
