STG: UNC has looked impressive in most every phase of the game statistically, but I count about nine cupcake non-conference wins in addition to the handful of very good teams they’ve faced. What’s your sense of how the Heels will do in much tougher conference play?

KIH: The Tar Heels have actually played better against tough competition. Though they were beaten by Kentucky, they played a very good game in Lexington. UNC had perhaps its most complete game of the season against Texas as well.

One of Roy Williams’ biggest problems with this team is fighting boredom as they blow out these cupcake teams. Against better competition, UNC will be better. Right now, Roy is deploying an 11-man rotation almost every night. That will be cut to about 8 as the games get tougher, and that’s going to be great for the team as they continue to build chemistry.
