4. Will BC carry any momentum from beating NC State last week?

Maybe, but, on the other side of the coin, perhaps Notre Dame will as well.

After all, BC beat NC State by 4 and Notre Dame beat Maryland by 24. The Domers were up 24-7 at the half and kept up the pressure, scoring an additional 21 points. Meanwhile, BC sat on 14 points for almost the entire second half and were lucky to have stopped every NC State drive after they scored 10.

It’s possible that our guys will be feeling good about themselves, and they should, but being 7-3 and having just crushed another bad team, the Irish surely believe they can win this game.

Follow-up: Will this be a “trap” game for Notre Dame ahead of Stanford next week?

I doubt it. This game means plenty to Notre Dame outside of just beating us: with a strong late push, they can improve their bowl positioning and national ranking. They won’t be making a BCS bowl, but a good finish can get them to 10-3 if they win out, which will almost certainly bring a lot of good feelings Brian Kelly’s way after they started the season 0-2.

Further, Kelly is not the kind of coach to let up. He knows his team can beat the crap out of us, and the alumni would love him for it. They will be ready to play.
