3.) Seriously, is BC going to offensively gameplan for this?

Yes/probably. First, you may be wondering why I ask (and if so, I’m going to assume you didn’t watch the FSU game last Thursday).

Maryland game: BC gameplans. They realize that the weather will be bad and Maryland’s run defense is terrible, so they attack, attack, and attack some more on the ground. BC wins.

FSU game: BC doesn’t. On a tolerable weather night, they pound the run all night against an elite run defense like they were still playing Maryland. The Eagles end up with 94 yards on 39 carries. BC loses.

The reason I suppose the Eagles will be more careful and intelligent this week with how they approach the game is very simple: Frank Spaziani is playing his former boss and he wants to show him up. Likewise, Tom O’Brien wants to beat his old school. We’ve all heard the rumblings over the years that the BC/NC State games were a little more personal than the others, and that this is the sort of game BC will go all-out to win.

Too bad they couldn’t spare this kind of motivation for the rest of the games this season.
