Meet Your New Hockey Eagles: Michael Sit

There are two incoming freshman on this team from the Great White North known as Canada. We have another recruit coming from the other frozen tundra — Minnesota. That young man is Michael Sit (#17), and this will be a very brief article due to lack of available information.

Sit, an 18-year old forward, hails from Edina, and most recently played for Edina High School. In his senior year, as a team captain, he amassed 40 points (14 g, 26 a) in 30 games. The year before, he netted 30 points (13 g, 17 a) and helped Edina win a state title.

I was only able to find a small part of a scouting report on him, but it indicated that Sit is a very good skater. If that’s the case and he’s talented and quick on his skates, he should fit in just fine with a Jerry York-coached team.

On that, if he was recruited by this coaching staff, then they must see something good in him. We don’t really know what that is, however, because not too many of us are watching Minnesota high school hockey and even fewer are writing scouting reports. Still, I look forward to seeing what he can contribute.
