Eagles embarrass themselves against Heels

I will be a man of few words tonight, because there isn’t much I’d like to add: I think the score speaks for itself. In grand fashion at Conte Forum on Tuesday night, the Boston College Eagles got railroaded by the North Carolina Tar Heels, coming close to committing ritual seppuku on their season.

There is no good way to spin this loss for BC. This was a home game before a full house (for a change) and one of the biggest games of the year to this point. What we got was a complete BC collapse from about half-way in the first half onwards. Other than Joe Trapani, just about everyone else was a no-show.

Let’s not talk about playing after March 13 until the Eagles show us that they’re worthy of it. After tonight, I’d say they’re not.
