BC Eagles moving up (slightly) in the AP poll

Hey folks, Boston College is 39th! In the preseason poll, the Eagles got 9 votes. This time, we got 14. The moral of the story is that when you beat the living crap out of any opponent, even if that opponent is one of the lousiest FCS teams you can find, you’ll still get yourself some props.
Alright, fine, it’s not a big deal. Beating Kent State wouldn’t be a big deal, either. Beating Clemson, now that would be a big deal if they could swing it.
I will say one thing though: this was billed as a “rebuilding” year of sorts for the Eagles with a freshman QB, new coach, and no Herzlich. If this BC team is ranked at any point this year, the 2009 season will have been a complete success. Even if they aren’t, so long as they don’t lose 9 games, this will have been a decent year.
