BC Baseball beats Clemson

Eagles baseball is officially on a roll. BC pounded the crap out of the Tigers, 13-1, at their home opener at Commander Shea Field. Clemson is no pushover, mind you: they’re the #20 team in the country. At 11am Saturday, BC will go for the series win (and you can listen on WZBC 90.3FM in Boston or at wzbc.org). [edit: either someone goofed or lied…it’s not on WZBC]

The Eagles are in sole possession of first place in the ACC Atlantic division by 2 games in the loss column over this very same Clemson team. This makes this series critical to BC in the standings; a series win is a must if they want to stay in 1st for a while.

BC’s record is now 15-7 (5-3 ACC). For purposes of comparison, through 22 games in the 2008 season, BC was 11-11 (2-7 ACC).
