Game 23: Boston College-Maine Hockey Gameday

facebooktwitterreddit

Following the high tension of playing BU, #17 Boston College hockey is right back at it on Maine hockey gameday.

The Eagles, undefeated over the course of their last eight games, took the long ride up to Orono to face the Maine Black Bears just two sleeps following their big win down the street at Agganis Arena.

Maine may not be having a great season, but any and every Hockey East opponent should be considered dangerous and worthy of respect. They stand in the way of two more points the Eagles want, and getting them from all conference opposition is a high priority. Besides, the Black Bears have a better record in their own barn, and Orono in recent years has been the site of some ignominious defeats for the Eagles.

Boston College needs to keep working. This is no time to stop now when they are finally starting to accomplish something. Make no mistake, Maine would be a bad loss for the Eagles, but with much at stake and Boston College starting to look like they’re putting it all together, this roll could continue. It must.
