Game 19: Boston College-Dartmouth Hockey Gameday

facebooktwitterreddit

Boston College hockey will look to keep the good times rolling on Dartmouth hockey gameday, seeking their fourth win in a row.

The Eagles, fresh off of a 4-1 win over Brown yesterday in their first contest of 2015, aim to finish off a two-game sweep of the Ledyard Classic as they face the Dartmouth Big Green, the hosts of the tournament.

One question is on the minds of Eagles fans: will Boston College’s players on loan to the US World Juniors team be back on the ice? There is a chance, though Coach York might elect to rest Thatcher Demko, Alex Tuch, Noah Hanifin, and Ian McCoshen on Saturday as they have played a lot of hockey in the last week.

On the other hand, Boston College does need their help.

Beating Brown with a good third period is one thing, but the Eagles are fighting for their season. The coach will make the right decision for the team and players, whatever that may be.

Either way, everybody will be in uniform for the Northeastern home-and-home next weekend. That contains the possible exception of Steve Santini, the Boston College defenseman who was injured during the Denver series at the end of October. He did not play yesterday and there still does not seem to be a definitive timetable regarding his return. January was the team’s target for Santini, but as yet, he is not present. Santini will not play against Dartmouth hockey today, but might go next weekend.
