At last, the final Boston College football schedule-a-team article, and today’s topic is Sun Belt football, otherwise known as Fun Belt football.

More from Football

Of course, now it is not so much of a geographic Sun Belt as it is a Sun Amorphous Blob, and it is patently obvious that the “have-nots” rushed into this conference to fill out spots open by other teams rushing out, but maybe there are teams Boston College can play in the future.

That’s a big if. Fun Belt, perhaps not.

Does Boston College football have any scheduling options amongst these Sun Belt football teams?

Boston College Sun Belt Football Schedule-A-Team: Appalachian State Mountaineers

All-Time History With Boston College: None
Last Faced: Not applicable

Travel (if necessary): About however long it takes to get to Wake Forest by plane, which is not that long.

Mutual Interest Factor: Just cannot possibly exist.

Intrigue Factor: Appalachian State is famous for one game and one game only, so none.

The Verdict: Might only be interested in a one-off at home; would not schedule away.

This is not a particularly appealing matchup, especially when you’re talking about teams that have barely even gotten to the FBS level.

The distance between the two schools is not horrible, which is why they might take an offer to visit Boston College if one ever came, but one is probably not coming.
