Only the ACC’s Florida State Seminoles continue to break up their monopoly on the top spots in the nation; aside from their coach going on about the team having “character,” it is good to see our conference still represented at the top of the game.

Playoff positioning is becoming more and more important with each passing game, so the teams at the top figure to have a lot to lose if anything should go wrong from here on in.

Week 9 College Football Rankings: Why?

As a 6-1 team that’s gathering momentum and is arguably the third-best team in the ACC right now, Duke belonged in the poll.

Could not drop Notre Dame too far given how well they played at Florida State.

Who says the Big 12 needs Texas in order to be great? As a conference, they’re doing just fine even with the Longhorns down in the gutter.
