Our Week 2 ACC picks in the 2014 football season are against the spread, straight up, real, and spectacular.
Alright, probably not spectacular, but the other three.
Week 2 ACC Picks: Friday Games
Pittsburgh (-4) at Boston College (7pm ET, ESPN). Coming tomorrow, but you knew that.
Week 2 ACC Picks: Saturday Games
South Carolina State at Clemson (45.5) (12:30pm ET, ESPN3). A game only “ESPN The Ocho” could love. Clemson | SCST +45.5
Richmond at Virginia (3:30pm ET, ESPN3). The Mike London Bowl should yield good results for the Cavs. Virginia | No spread available
Georgia Tech (-10) at Tulane (4pm ET, ESPNews). Lately, the Jackets are the kind of team that don’t lose the games they’re not supposed to, and Tulane typically doesn’t win the games they’re not supposed to win. Georgia Tech | GT -10
Old Dominion at NC State (-17) (6pm ET, ESPN3). The Pack covering? Not falling for that again. NC State | ODU +17
Gardner-Webb at Wake Forest (6:30pm ET, ESPN3). If the Deacs can’t win this one, a bagel in the final win column becomes a more realistic possibility. Wake Forest | No spread
Murray State at Louisville (-40.5) (7pm ET, ESPN3). A cupcake for the Cardinals, but that’s a huge line. We’ll grudgingly lay the points. Louisville | UL -40.5
Florida A&M at Miami (7pm ET, ESPN3). Miami will raise their average points per game total by a significant amount following this game. Miami | No spread
Duke (-20.5) at Troy (7pm ET, ESPN3). Troy played a close one at Duke last year, but this team looks way worse to start this season. Duke | Duke -20.5
Citadel at Florida State (-45.5) (7pm ET, ESPN3). Pray for the poor young men of the Citadel. Florida State | FSU -45.5
San Diego State at North Carolina (-16) (8pm ET, ESPNews). The Aztecs might not win, but they’re a fine program. North Carolina | SDSU +16
Virginia Tech at Ohio State (-11) (7pm ET, ESPN). Not that the Hokies can’t win, but ACC fans will settle for the moral victory here. Ohio State | VT +11
