Boston College Football

Top ten impactful additions to the Detroit Lions (isportsweb, Chris Ryan)

Former Boston College kicker Nate Freese makes the list at number nine, as they note how automatic he was at the Heights.

If you ask me, they have much more to worry about due to their lousy head coach hire than the new kicker they just drafted.

Not that the Lions have anywhere to go but up.

Boston College Basketball Recruiting

Former Boston College commit Jeremy Miller updates recruitment (CollegeBasketballTalk, Terrence Payne)

Boston College used to have New Hampton School forward Jeremy Miller in its ranks as its sole recruit for 2015. Then, once Steve Donahue left and Jim Christian came in, Miller decided to reopen his recruitment.

Since that happened, Miller noted that “[his] phone has been blowing up the entire time,” with some big-name schools coming after him, including Wisconsin and Michigan.

Nevertheless, Boston College is still very much in the running for Miller’s commitment, but no longer is it a done deal. An interesting snippet from the piece:

"When he picked BC in February, Donahue sold him on being a big part of the rebuilding process. Christian and his staff shared similar thoughts, but Miller was looking for more from the new staff. “I wanted him (Christian) to recruit me,” Miller said."
