Reeling from the spurning of Jared Terrell after he committed to URI, new Boston College Men’s Basketball Head Coach Jim Christian and his staff added Old Dominion guard Dimitri Batten to the squad.

It is Dimitri Batten’s fifth year (redshirt during freshman year) and he will not have to wait to transfer to Boston College.

Batten was stellar in his junior season for Old Dominion, ranking as the second leading scorer on the team averaging 11.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists. However it seems as if Batten is an undisciplined shooter only putting the ball in the hoop 38.2 percent of the time, 28.7 percent from beyond the arc.

According to BC Interruption, Batten caught the eye of Baylor, Duquesne, Hampton, Texas Southern and Norfolk State.

Coach Jim Christian, after adding the services of Idrissa Diallo last week, seems to be building a solid roster in the wake of the departures of Joe Rahon and Ryan Anderson.

Anyways, welcome Dimitri Batten to the Heights!
