Like we said earlier, Boston College football season never ends — it just goes into lulls. News-wise, we’re starting to come out of one as a few Eagles are making the news with the 2014 NFL Combine upon us.

BC Football: Bengals expected to meet with Boston College running back Andre Williams

Even though the Bengals are the named team on the title, it would appear that four teams are currently planning to make the time to sit down with the Doak Walker winner. It’s simply not possible for a guy to have a season as good as Williams did and not get interest from NFL teams around draft time.

None of these four teams might take him, but Andre will probably impress them all so who knows.

BC Football: Patchan setting a high standard for OL in the 40-yard dash

Boston College offensive tackle Matt Patchan got his invitation to the Combine and was a top performer in one of the challenges: the 40-yard dash. Patchan ran a 4.97, which tied for fourth-best amongst all offensive linemen. Otherwise, he benched 22 reps, which was on the low end.
