Kicker Mike Knoll officially signed a national letter of intent to play for Boston College Eagles football in 2014 on Wednesday, National Signing Day.

He was the 12th recruit to verbally commit to the class, having verbally committed to join Head Coach Steve Addazio’s program on June 4th.

Mike Knoll comes out of Walsh Jesuit in Stow, Ohio where he also played the punter position, the latter of which he could very likely play at Boston College.

Knoll was rated as a three-star prospect by all of the major recruiting services and is rated as the top kicker nationally by 247 Sports. With Nate Freese’s departure from Boston College, Knoll could contend for the starting job as early as this upcoming season.
