Wide receiver Gabe McClary officially signed a national letter of intent to play for Boston College Eagles football in 2014 on Wednesday, National Signing Day.

He was the 19th recruit to verbally commit to the class, having committed to join Head Coach Steve Addazio’s program on June 24, around the same time as a slew of other early summer recruits.

McClary was Boston College’s second recruit of the class from Florida; he played his high school ball for Winter Park High School. His senior year highlights are visible on Hudl.

His offer sheet was composed of some quality teams; to come to Boston College, McClary turned down Illinois, North Carolina, South Florida, Appalachian State, Arizona, and Cincinnati. All three major recruiting services list him as a three-star recruit. His measurements are 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds.

McClary figures to provide some added depth to a receiving corps that will be looking for some new key players in the years to come.

The Boston College community welcomes Gabe to the Heights.
