3.) Clearly, Arizona fans are very excited about the year Ka’Deem Carey has had. We’ve heard that the two All-Americans, he and Andre Williams, contrast in how they work, so tell us about Carey’s game and what makes him so effective.

JS: I personally haven’t seen much of Andre Williams beyond highlights, but from what I’ve seen he and Ka’Deem Carey have very similar running styles. They both don’t shy away from contact and can be counted on for upwards of 30 carries a game.

I feel that Williams is a little faster than Carey, but where they really differ is in the passing game. I think that Carey is a better all-around player due to his underrated pass-catching and blocking abilities. With no doubt, both running backs are two of the best in the country and should be fun to watch on New Year’s Eve.

2.) Much like the Eagles, and for reasons which seem obvious, Arizona’s offense has been run-heavy this year. What about BJ Denker and the passing game? Could Denker put the Cats on his back if necessary?

JS: After a nearly flawless performance in an upset over Oregon, you could make a pretty good case that B.J. Denker was the conference’s most improved player. However, after a three-interception and 175-yard day against Arizona State, that conversation is almost laughable.

Denker has a lot of positive qualities, namely his running ability, as he is faster than the average running quarterback. But his passing ability is definitely sub-par and shows why he was so lightly recruited out of high school. It will be interesting to see which Denker shows up on Tuesday.
