Well we got our first suspension people! This one falls on cornerback Al Louis Jean. If you have been following the sophomore’s BC career, you’ll know that he missed the whole 2012 campaign with a broken foot, so you know he must have been itching to get back into play, but that grand return will be delayed for at least the Villanova opener this Saturday.

This seems to be Coach Addazio’s first suspension as the Boston College head football coach and most assuredly won’t be the last. The official reason as first reported by Eric Hoffses on Twitter is a “violation of team rules”. No idea what those are at this time. Will try and follow up as soon as possible if we get any leads.

Now, how this affect the squad going into Saturday’s opener against Villanova? My prediction: Not very much, especially against an FCS team like the Villanova Wildcats. On the preseason depth chart, you have last year’s starter junior Manny Asprilla ahead of Al Louis Jean, a former 4 star recruit who decommitted from Miami in 2011, in the left corner spot, with Bryce Jones starting on the opposite side. Obviously you want the depth at the corner position and sources tell me that Al Jouis Jean was looking like he was in the mix for a starting role.

In any case, Al Louis Jean in his comeback from injury, will have to deal with even more hurdles in advancing with the rest of the squad.
