You’ve made it this long without Boston College Eagles football; what’s another 32 days?

Charlie Callinan, WR, freshman

Callinan is a newcomer to the Eagles in 2013 from New Jersey. He played for St. Peter’s Prep, and as a senior captain, he had 33 catches for 565 yards and nine touchdowns. A redshirt may be in his future this season, but one never knows with the overall depth at receiver.

Early Peak

The most points the Eagles scored last season against an FBS opponent came in Week 1 when BC put up 32 points against Miami.

Speaking of the Miami Game

Chase Rettig had a great game that afternoon, and he completed 32 passes for 441 yards.

Good News from Last Year

The 2012 Eagles were actually one of the least-penalized teams in college football. They only gave back an average of 32 yards per game, which was 6th-best in FBS.

Freezing

Boston College won the Cotton Bowl on New Year’s Day 1985, and it was plenty cold in Dallas that day: 32 degrees to be precise.

The Freezer

Before his days of dancing in State Farm commercials, BJ Raji had 32(.5) career tackles for a loss as a Boston College Eagle; sixth on the all-time list.

Post-Flutie Heroics

In the 1986 Hall of Fame Bowl, Shawn Halloran threw the game-winning touchdown to Kelvin Martin with 32 seconds to go as the Eagles beat Georgia, 27-24.

Program Records

The BC record for most punt returns in a season is 32, held by Kenyatta Watson (1993).

Not Records, But Pretty Good

Kelvin Martin and Omari Walker both scored 32 touchdowns during their Boston College careers, tying them for fourth on the all-time list.
