Since National Signing Day, sports news at Boston College has been pretty slow and Snowstorm Nemo canceling Boston College games hasn’t exactly helped the creative process. So I thought to myself:how about we let the fans ask us questions about sports, life, liberty, and happy things like snow. Leave questions in the comment section, on our twitters, or wherever!!

Anyone have any thoughts on Kate Upton being the SI cover model two years in a row?

Another question from Ben in Philly: “Do you think major league gaming will ever gain mainstream traction in America like it has in some other countries?” Hmmm interesting question. At first glance, I would have made fun of the question and probably Ben, but then I remembered I lost like a day of my life to Assassin’s Creed III over the Christmas break. Supposedly these professional gaming leagues are popular in South Korea, but haven’t really caught on elsewhere. But, really getting paid to play World of Warcraft or Starcraft or Call of Duty all day is very enticing. As Americans get more connected to technology and lose the ability to go outside due to global warming, I have a feeling that these gaming leagues might just pop up. Maybe soon there will be a Boston College gaming team that I’ll be the STG beat writer for.

Question from Ben in Philly:”Do you think the controversy surround Manti Te’os love life will have any measurable impact on his draft prospects? if so, what are they?”—Well, while common sense should be a prerequisite for being awarded multi-million dollar contracts, that is obviously not the case. Manti is still projected as a mid to late first round draft pick, but he will have a ton to explain to teams he interviews with at the NFL Combine. Objective number one are going on physical dates. Speaking of dates, does anyone have anything on Valentine’s Day?

And yes the sign language is hilarious. Especially loved the sign language guy at the Super Bowl. He just looked really, really into it.

I still think it’s going to be Indiana, Michigan, Duke and a possible Pac 12 appearance with Arizona. But, really it’s anyone’s game. I’m just glad that Kentucky isn’t winning. And I’m no bracketologist(even thought I did pick Kentucky and UConn correctly in my last two brackets) but I really do think there is a much better chance of the 1-16 upset. I have been wholly unexcited by this college basketball season. But, I do still have faith in Boston College for the future. Cue George Michael.

Two-part question for Kyle and the readers: we know we’re not making any tournaments this year, but the NCAAs look like they might be very interesting. None of the top teams seem to want to win consistently anymore and honestly I don’t think there’s a dominant team. (1) Who would your #1 seeds be right now and (2) is there a better chance of a 1-16 upset this year?

I can’t be the only one who finds the “sign language press conference lady” highly amusing. Seriously, the next time one of the politicians has a press conference, just mute it and watch the sign language.

Still accepting questions, observations on all mediums.

Question from Kevin at Holy Cross: “Current state of Syrian politics”—As bad as the Lakers. Whereas the leader needs to be taken out and replaced.

Question from Rob in Yonkers: “Have you ever crossdressed while waiting for a train at boston north station in december?”— Can’t say I have

Question from John in Boston: “Do you think massachusetts threatening a year in jail for being on the road a little to much?”—–I think it might just be a bit much. I get safety, but how are half of Boston College students going to get their take-out? You know most aren’t going to even try traveling in the snow?

Kyle Egan February 8, 20135:37 pm

If anyone’s curious about why I used just random snow pictures from US presswire, I am too comfortable in my slippers to get authentic pictures outside.

Kyle Egan February 8, 20135:30 pm

It’s looking BAD outside. But up to a year in jail for driving in the snow?

Kyle Egan February 8, 20135:22 pm

Oh, I forgot to explain the image. That is what I encountered when I went on the BC Eagles site ten minutes ago.

Kyle Egan February 8, 20135:14 pm

I have scoured the BC Athletics and can’t find an answer to your question. The athletic dept. doesn’t plan much in advance as I encountered this while trying to answer this question. I wish they would announce the date earlier considering last year’s minimal attendance.

From Danny Jaillett over Twitter:

My solution. Steal a tray from Stuart(does anyone really use them anyways). Capture and trap some rabbits(there are a lot of them over there). Leash them up and you can participate in a race to Nome. STG solutions.

Okay so this what’s appearing on everyone’s Transloc right now. Newton shuttle’s down. Comm Ave bus is down. And this suspension of service will most likely go on as long as repairs on the Gowanus Expressway.

Kyle Egan February 8, 20134:55 pm

Question from freshman on Newton: “Hi Kyle, I live on Newton and an upperclassmen invited me to a party tomorrow night off campus. How do I get there? Thanks. Your blog is the greatest thing since sliced bread.”

Kyle Egan February 8, 20134:34 pm

Seriously it is getting pretty rough over here in Chestnut Hill! Howling winds, snow going everywhere, freshman stranded on Newton.
