Video: Chris Kreider’s Game-Winner for Connecticut Whale

NCAA Hockey: Frozen Four-Ferris State vs Boston College

Douglas Jones-US PRESSWIRE

The NHL Lockout is hurting us who want to see our former Boston College hockey stars on ice, but the good news is that some are playing in the AHL. One is Chris Kreider, suiting up for the Connecticut Whale, farm team of the New York Rangers. On Friday night, they visited the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (New York Islanders) and played a tight game, which the Whale won, 7-5.

Yours truly was present for the contest, in which Kreider scored two goals. The first came less than two minutes into the game, on Kreider’s first shift. The second was the game-winner in a 5-5 game with less than five minutes to go.

Here’s the game-winning goal. Kreider wears #20 in white. Video is available in 1080p.
